A 13-year-old girl student of Naimed Girls’ Pota Cabin (a residential educational complex for tribals) allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a tree in the premises of the Ashram at around 5 am on Saturday, police said. The reason behind the extreme step of the student was yet to be known. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Jeevan lal Nagesh, Nikita Korsa, a student of class VI in the Ashram was found dead. Her body was spotted by her colleagues, hanging from a tree of jackfruit. The fellow students immediately informed about the incident to the hostel superintendent who called the local police. The policemen from Jungla police station immediately reached the spot and launched an interrogation into the death.
