Motivated by the police, maximum number of Naxalites are returning to the mainstream, Chhattisgarh Home and Jail Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu said on Tuesday during a day's trip to Dantewada.
The police department in Bastar has launched ‘Lon Varratu’ (Return to your home/village) -- a rehabilitation campaign for the Maoists to shun violence and embrace mainstream.
The Minister discussed with the Chhattisgarh Armed Force (CAF) personnel regarding the facilities available and their problems, an official communication said.
The CAF personnel said they even got entertainment facilities in the camps.
During the interaction he said the drive launched by the state government for the return of the Naxalites back into mainstream is yielding positive results.
Earlier, Sahu offered prayers at the Maa Danteshwari temple at Dantewada.
