The State-wide ‘Aanganbadi Quality Campaign’ is bringing positive results in curbing malnutrition across Chhattisgarh, officials stated.
Under this campaign, a malnourished girl child who was adopted by Raipur District Collector Thakur Ram Singh has reportedly gained around 400 gm weight within short time, they stated.
As per information received, Singh had visited labhandi-based Aanganbadi centre on December 22 last year and adopted a girl child named lata Nishad.
To take stock of available facilities, Commissioner of Raipur division, Ashok Agrawal accompanied by Singh visited labhandi and Serikhedi-Aanganbadi centre on January 15 this year.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner had also adopted a malnourished girl child Shrishti Netam from Serikhedi Centre-2.
Following the instructions of the Collector, additional attention is being paid towards cleanliness arrangements.
By giving special care to malnourished children, the government managed to gain positive results in Aanganbadi Quality Campaign.
