'Poor patients not getting proper treatment in Govt hospitals'

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) President, Bhupesh Baghel and ClP leader TS Singhdeo have expressed concern over alleged 'dilapidated' healthcare facilities in the State.

Both the senior Congress leaders, in a joint press release, accused the State government for allegedly failing in providing citizens their basic right of getting proper healthcare facilities.

“The State is facing acute shortage of qualified doctors. The patients with financially weak background are not getting treatment in the government hospitals. Due to costly treatment in the private hospitals, this option is also out of their range” alleged the duo.

Both the leaders added that doctors never reach on time in the government hospitals while due to low availability of beds, the patients have to lie on the floor when admitted.

The hospitals are using the 'Smart Card' as ‘ATM’ for withdrawing excessive money in comparison to the actual price of medicines and medical equipment used in treatment of the patients. There is no check on the same” the leaders alleged.
