Preparations for forthcoming Assembly polls have taken off in several districts of the State. In Korba district headquarters, a Poll Expense Monitoring Cell had been established which would start operating round-the-clock from the day of the announcement of the poll dates.
This apart all officials who would be on poll duty had been asked to submit their EPIC number as per rules. In Mahasamund district headquarters, a Toll Free number 1800-233-6601 had been established for the general public to register poll related complaints.
A directive to this effect was issued by District Collector R Sangeeta to the officials during the time-bound meeting on Wednesday. In Durg, District Collector Brijesh Chandra Mishra held a meeting on Wednesday to review poll preparations and directed officials to take up their poll related duties on a priority basis.
Similarly, In Janjgir-Champa district, the District Collector RPS Tyagi held a meeting and offered poll related responsibilities to various officials. In Raigarh, a Toll Free number 231950 had been established for registering complaints of the general public besides offering them poll related information.
