Collector and district returning officer of Kawardha P. Dayanand on Tuesday urged the officials to perform their duty with all seriousness as the notification for 2014 lok Sabha election would be issued on March 19.
Holding a meeting of all the concerned officials at the conference hall of the collectorate, the training of presiding officers and other officials involved in poll works would start from March 19. He said the sector officers should be present in the training camps so that they become aware of the directives issued by the election commission. The first phase training of presiding and polling fficers would start on March 19 and complete March 23. The training will start at 2 pm and comnclude at 5 pm.
The training for 71 Pandaria Assembly constituency and 72 kawardha constituency would be held at Swami Karapatri Balak Sasakiya uchhatar Madhyamik Sala at Kawardha and Sasakiya Naveen Uchhatar madhyamika sala at Kawardha respectively. The Collector directed the concerned officials to ensure that shed, drinking water, electricity and other necessary facilities are available and the participants do not face any difficultieis. He also urged them to ensure the imprinting of proper numbering of voting centres, date of polling and timing.
He also directed the officials to ensure that the road communication remain good so that the voters can reach the polling centres from their villages easily. He also urged the officials to take the help of scout and guides, NCC, and Nehru Yuba Kendra volunteers to build awareness in the places which recorded low turn out in the past elections.
