Whether it is a matter of Chhattisgarh, Haryana or may it any other part of the country, BJP led union government is targeting the Congress leaders and their family members with political vendetta, charged Chhattisgarh Congress Committee President Bhupesh Baghel and leader of Opposition T.S. Singhdeo.
In a joint statement, the duo the leaders strongly condemned the action on a member of Gandhi family in Haryana. The action against him was in a bid to take political revenge and misusing the police administration in it, the leaders said.
Even after High Court ruling, the BJP led government in Haryana has exposed its prejudice while taking action against a member of Gandhi family, they added.
A similar situation prevails in Chhattisgarh where the BJP led state government has been targeting the Congress leaders and their family members. The example is of CGPCC Chief, they said.
They said that all what is happening is a mode to distract the attention of people from failure of the union government whether it may be corruption in Rafale defence deal, price hike in petroleum products or may it be Goods and Service Tax (GST) or demonetization. Soon elections are going to be held in four of the states namely Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Mizoram where people would give a befitting reply to these, the Congress leaders said.
