nIn Bollywood-style, Chhattisgarh Police on Saturday chased and intercepted a truck in Mahasamund district and seized a huge cache of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and moonshine valued at Rs 30 lakh. Two persons were arrested.
Mahasamund Additional Superintendent of Police Megha Tembhurkar told The Pioneer that the seizure included 504 cartoons of IMFL besides country made liquor.
The accused were identified as Mohan Lal (60) and Devi Singh Rajput (48). Mohan Lal is from Madhya Pradesh and Devi Singh from Rajasthan.
Acting on a tip, the police and a cyber cell team spotted a truck on the Saraipali-Mahasamund route.
When it did not stop, it was chased and intercepted near a dhaba on National Highway NH-53.The truck (RJ-27, GB-2317) was also seized.
