Chhattisgarh Police on Tuesday busted an online ‘satta’ (betting) racket operating in three separate places here and arrested 25 persons including two teenagers.
Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police Sukhnandan Rathore told The Pioneer that 16 of them are from Chhattisgarh, five from Madhya Pradesh and one each from Maharashtra, Bihar, Haryana and Rajasthan.
The accused were taking online bets on live ludo, casino, football and other online satta apps, the officer said.
The police conducted a raid on Monday night in Indraprastha Water Park, DD Nagar Sector 4 and Changorabhata areas.
The police seized 26 mobile phones, 7 laptops, Rs 73,510 in cash, 13 betting record books, 11 bank cheque books, 3 bank passbooks, an ATM card and a calculator from them.
