The Indian National Congress (INC) has launched an extensive campaign to make ‘Modi Free India’ by 2019. If required, the Congress party will go into alliance with other parties with secular mindset to keep ‘communal forces’ away from power,” stated the Congress Party National General Secretary C P Joshi on Thursday in Raipur.
On the pretext of ‘Make in India’ campaign, the government is promoting specific companies, which do not have any experience in defense sector as local partner for collaborating with foreign investors in defense sector, he alleged in a media interaction held by the party to highlight the shortcomings of Narendra Modi government on completion of its two-year tenure.
Instead of raising attractive slogans, the government should focus on performance, he said.
He further charged that the Narendra Modi Government at the Centre has only carried out renaming and rebranding of schemes introduced by Congress-led UPA Government in the past.
According to the senior Congress leader, Narendra Modi led government at the Centre has failed to keep its promises.
Evaluation of the Prime Minister’s work could be carried out by reviewing the status of BJP’s agenda raised during election including bringing back of black money stashed overseas, eradication of corruption, price control, generation of employment for youths and others.
Even after completion of two years, the Government failed to bring back black money, control inflation, provide employment to youths and curb corruption, Joshi said.
As of now, the PM has visited around 40 countries but hardly succeeded in bringing foreign investment, he said.
On the occasion, Joshi dodged media queries like despite being oldest political party in the country Congress is presently limited to few states, recent poll defeats and others.
