After cancellation of the layout of New Swagat Vihar situated at Doonda, people who have purchased plot in the colony are in problem. Some of them on Friday met Municipal Corporation Commissioner Narendra Dugga and apprised him of their problems. They asked him what would happen to their under-construction houses.
Dugga assured them that at present action would be taken as per the Government order and everything would be set right during alterlation.
According to sources, the Government had cancelled the layout of Swagat Vihar Colony, but 19 plot owners, after getting drawings passed from the municipal corporation, have started construction. Construction of some of houses has been completed. Before cancellation of the layout, the municipal corporation had served notices on the plot owners and called them on Friday.
In view of the notice, plot owners Kamalkant Sharma, OP Chourasia, SK Sahu, Sharad Agrawal, Aswani Gopawar, Nirmal lalwani, lalita Prajapati and others reached the commissioner officer.
All the plot owners, one-by-one went to the commissioner and told him about their problems. They asked him that in which manner the cancellation of the layout of the colony affect them. Whether the drawing of their houses would be cancelled, and if so, when it would be regularised or do they need to prepare drawing again. The plot owners asked him a lot of questions.
Commissioner Dugga assured them that Swagat Vihar layout has been cancelled on the order of the government and further action would also be taken on its orders. The drawings of the houses being constructed in the colony might also be cancelled, but later action would be taken to regularise them. At present the colony has become illegal, hence action has to be taken. The plot owners returned on the assurance of the commissioner.
Additional commissioner of the corporation Dr JR Soni said that the building permission department had served notice on the 19 plot owners of New Swagat Vihar Colony. They came here to give reply to the notice. Possibly, as the layout of the colony has been cancelled, drawing of their buildings might be cancelled.
