To mark the World Environment Day, the Raipur Railway division carried out a plantation drive in its office and colonies in the city on Thursday.
For encouraging plantation in the view of the environment conservation initiative take up by the Raipur Railway division, saplings were distributed to residents at very house in the Railway colonies to generate awareness about plants among people and their contribution in safeguarding the environment.
Earlier during the day, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Raipur, Rajeev Saxena planted saplings at his office premises. The occasion was also marked by presence of a number of Railway officials and others.
