Divisional Commissioner Sonmoni Borah on Friday directed to plant saplings in both sides of the roads in Kathghora Tehsil region while taking into consideration the broadening of roads in future.
During his inspection of Katghora Tehsil office in Korba district on Friday, the Commissioner also asked the officers to create better work culture in offices.
Holding a meeting of sub divisional level officers, the Commissioner directed them to bring about faster completion of different works.
The Commissioner inspected the Sub Divisional Magistrate Court, Record Room, Sub Treasury, land Acquisition Branch, Food Branch and Deputy Registrar’s office etc. He instructed the officers to keep offices systematic and dispose of pending cases on time.
In the meeting, the Commissioner told the officers concerned to place boards of the Public Services Guarantee Act and the Right to Education Act in the offices along with clear mention of services available under these Acts.
Borah suggested construction of boundary wall of the Tehsil office with two gates, sapling plantation in a systematic way, installation of computer in record room, to keep important records safely after scanning them, lamination of drawings kept in the record room and painting of record room. Bora directed the sub divisional officers to empower different offices by holding weekly review meetings.
He also told to hold meeting of Station House Officers (SHOs) of the area and to give them necessary instructions. He asked SDOs to visit the area in every 15 days. The Commissioner instructed timely disposal of cases of demarcation, partition and mutation cases. The Commissioner told the Block Education Officers (BEOs) to give special emphasize on the distribution of uniform, textbooks in the schools and the strengthening of schools.
Reviewing health facilities in the area, the Commissioner instructed block medical officer to make chlorine tablets and ORS available as per need.
He asked the Woman and Child Development Project Officer and the medical officers to give special effort for making women aware of health in awareness camps by keeping mutual coordination.
