Sadhuram Dulhani, one of the senior-most journalists of Chhattisgarh’s insurgency-riddled sprawling Bastar region, is battling for life in a private hospital in Raipur after a road accident, family members said on Monday.
The 60-year-old Dulhani who is in active journalism for over three decades in Bastar, is associated with The Pioneer for more than one year. Family members said that he suffered multiple fractures on August 14 when a private bus in which he was travelling in, collided head-on with a truck while he was on way to Jagdalpur from Raipur.
The accident took place in a patch between Dhamtari and Purur on Raipur-Jagdalpur national highway. He was rushed to Raipur-based Ramkrishna Care Hospital along with other injured. Doctors at the hospital have termed his condition ‘critical’.
