BJP candidate from Durg lok Sabha constituency, Saroj Pandey on Friday said that mothers now cannot cook food of the choice of their children due to price hike brought about by the Congress-led UPA Government at the Centre.
“Now the mothers of the country have decided to teach a lesson to the Congress party in this election. The people would provide an answer to the price hike by wiping out the existence of the Congress party in the polls,” she added.
Pandey said this while on her public contact tour in Jamul, Ahiwara and Bhilai-3 areas of the Durg lok Sabha seat on Friday.
Jamul MlA Sanvlaram Dahre, ex-MlA Domanlal Kosrewada, district vice-president Phanendra Pandey and municipal chairman Rekhram Banchhor accompanied her on the tour. She said that the Congress had left the country in a misery. The youth are not facing problem of food, but of their future. This problem has been created by the Congress. Hence, the Congress should be thrown out of power and a popular and sensitive Government should be formed at the centre under the leadership of Narendra Modi, she said.
Preparations on for Modi’s meeting
Preparations for Narendra Modi’s Vijay Sankalp rally in Durg on April 20 is underway on at a war footing.
In-charge Minister Rajesh Munat reached here on Friday to review the preparations for the meeting. Detailed discussions were held on the security arrangements.
Thousands of BJP workers and general public from the nine assembly constituencies under the Durg lok sabha constituency are expected to attend the Vijay Sankalp rally, which is said to be a unique one.
