Forest Minister Mohammad Akbar on Friday claimed that the Congress was going to register a big victory in the urban bodies’ polls in the state.
“We have won hearts after fulfilling promises made during the assembly polls and this will certainly deliver fruits in the ensuing municipal polls”, he said.
In a press conference at party’s state headquarters Rajiv Bhawan, Akbar said when “we had nothing to claim during urban bodies elections in 2009 and 2014, people had shown confidence on us, then this time when we have delivered most of the promises made in assembly polls, people will certainly repose faith on us,” he claimed.
Commenting on Modi government’s consent on procuring rice under central pool, the minister further said the demand of the state government was not completely fulfilled. “Our demand for procuring all the surplus rice i.e. 32 LMT is still remained unfulfilled,” he said.
