Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh said on Sunday that ‘elections are won through people’s faith and not through any ‘poll management’.
‘No ‘poll management’ works and people re-elect on the basis of development and the work done by a party and provides its another chance to form the Government,’ Singh told reporters here. Singh has stated that the Congress-led UPA Government never had the ‘moral courage’ to hold a programme such as the ‘Vikas Yatra’ in Chhattisgarh as it had nothing to talk about except having scams such as Commonwealth Games, 2G Spectrum and price rise situation in its account.
The Chhattisgarh government went to the people with the ‘Vikas Yatra’ programme to provide an account of the work done by it for the people of the State, he told reporters here. Singh claimed that his government has worked and implemented every point mentioned in the BJP manifesto for the 2008 Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh.
He said that the people would be given an account of the work done by the government as per the 2008 party manifesto this time round also and they would also be informed about the party’s new poll manifesto. The Chief Minister said that the people of Chhattisgarh had put their faith on the state’s policies while losing the same on the Congress-led UPA government due to price rise factor and bad governance.
