Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday said common people are availing and deriving benefits from the ‘Nyay Yojana’ and other schemes of the government.
Baghel told the media that the schemes have helped people to overcome their economic crises by providing them regular income.
He was on a visit to Bagbahara as part of his public interaction drive (Bhent Mulaqat).
On procurement of paddy, he said the target is 1.10 crore tonnes. With Millet Mission and its purchase on government procurement, locals and producers are getting benefits.
The value addition has also helped to boost local employment. Pulses are being procured at support prices in the state, he said.
Even migration has stopped due to regular income-generating activities in Gauthans, he said.
The health sector has also made many strides. Schemes like Haat Bazar and Slum Health Scheme have helped people to procure medical treatment free of cost, Baghel added.
He said there has been an increase in the demand for English medium schools. The process of obtaining key documents have been simplified.
The government has been consistently working to reduce the distance between the administration and the public, he said.
He pledged to open a college in Komakhan and extend a grant of Rs 20 lakh for a Press Club.
