The Chhattisgarh government has issued orders to approve dearness relief to pensioners and family pensioners according to the revised rates. According to an order by the Ministry of Finance on Wednesday, the relief has been increased by 5 percent of the basic pension or family pension of the Seventh Pay Scale payable from October 1, 2021. After the increase, the dearness relief will be 17 percent. Similarly, dearness relief of basic pension or family pension of the Sixth Pay Scale payable from October 1, 2021 has been increased by 10 percent. This relief will be payable on superannuation/retirement/incapacity and compensation pension. It will also be given on the compassionate allowance.
