Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday announced that ration for May and June will be provided simultaneously to the consumers from the public distribution system during the ongoing Covid crisis.
In a virtual review meeting, he instructed that dry ration and hot food should be given to the needy with the help of political parties, voluntary organizations and donors.
The Chief Minister described the corona infection as "a serious challenge". "There are high numbers of corona infections in urban areas, especially in municipal areas."
He said all of us have to work tirelessly and non-stop. He said special care should be taken not to cause inconvenience to the people.
He expressed displeasure over the complaint received regarding oxygen shortage at the Rajnandgaon Medical College and told Additional Chief Secretary (Health) Renu G. Pillai to take immediate action.
The Chief Minister also called for checking fire-fighting arrangements in all hospitals.
