Member of Parliament from Raipur Sunil Soni on Friday hailed the scrapping of article 370 and 35(A) by the Centre terming it a ‘fulfillment of long cherished dream’.

In his maiden address to the media persons after being elected an MP, Soni said when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is there nothing was impossible. He reiterated: ‘Modi Hai to Mumkin Hai’.

“It was really a matter of delight that I too had witnessed the historic moment of passage of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill, 2019 in the parliament as being a member of the House”, he said.

Soni further expressed his anticipation that terrorism in J&K would soon end and new avenues of employment would be opened in the state with setting up of units by investors.

The citizens of J&K were till now not benefitted with the welfare schemes of the country but from now onwards justice would be done to them and they will start getting the benefits, he added.

Soni also came down heavily on Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for opposing the BJP’s stand on J&K and said by doing so Baghel had defamed the Chhattisgarh across the globe.

He also charged that Baghel government had failed to tackle the Naxal menace in past eight months’ tenure. After daring decision on J&K now eradication of Naxalism would be the next target of the Centre, he said.
