Party activists are trained to give them direction: Raman

Published on:

The importance of training party activists is to update them with new programmes and policies and this provides a direction and helps them to reach out to the people, BJP leader and former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Raman Singh said on Saturday.

The shortcomings of the existing state government are also discussed so as to spread it among the people, said the BJP national Vice President.

Interacting with the media after addressing divisional level training of party leaders and workers here, Raman Singh said the regular updates of party policies and programmes have to be given to party workers.

He said the three agriculture bills were also taken up and it was discussed how to clear the misunderstanding being spread across the country.

He said the two years of Congress government in Chhattisgarh was an all-round failure and that the condition of the state has deteriorated.

On BJP state spokesperson and MLA Ajay Chandrakar's comment that the Mata Kausalya temple at Chandhuri is not her birthplace, Raman Singh said: “The temple is the lone one in the country. If Chandrakar had something, it would be after deep study and with evidence. If anyone has any doubt, he can be directly       contacted on the issue.”

The condition of farmers and their suicides as well as the rising incidents of sexual molestation of girls will be among the issues taken up when the Chhattisgarh Assembly meets from December 21, he said.
