As only two days are left for the election, the contestants are engaged in a last-ditch fight. The BJP and the Congress have left no stone unturned to woo the electorate. Now, candidates of both the parties are seen in direct contact with the voters and taking out roadshows in these last days.

The supporters BJP’s Santosh Bafna and the party workers have made all out efforts to lure the voters in villages. Chief Minister Raman Singh had, by taking out a roadshow, tried to entice the voters in favour of Bafna, whereas, the Mahila Morcha also, under the scorching sun, had registered its presence, even in the agricultural fields, lanes and bylanes and villages. All of them have urged the electorates to bloom the BJP’s lotus in Bastar and to make NaMo Prime Minister in Delhi.

The BJP had made its election declaration at the beginning of its electioneering and Chief Minister Raman Singh, in order to entice the voters along with development plank, had tried to draw the complete ambience in favour of the party by declaring supply of rice at `2 per kilo.

The BJP also, by making all its efforts, had been trying to bring the constituency under its influence. Bafna has faith in the party workers, who are engaged in campaigning in villages and among the labourers since long. This time, he has made serious efforts to make his impact and influence in Jagadalpur also.

Meanwhile, Congress’ Samuram Kashyap has become active after declaration of the candidate. Visiting village-to-village Samu persuaded the voters and brought heightened activity in the organisation. As a result, the Congress, which was lagging behind the BJP in electioneering, has now become equal to it.

The Congress has issues like corruption during the reign of Chief Minister Raman Singh, achievements of UPA government and the image of India at world level. Based on these issues, the Congress has been trying to lure the voters. By organising Jogi’s roadshow, Samu had tried to bring all the electorate under his influence and in favour of the Congress.
