Partial relief in lockdown in Korea

Published on:

The administration in Chhattisgarh’s Korea district on Friday granted conditional permission for businesses and shops to reopen in a departure from the earlier strict lockdown announced to battle Covid-19.

Korea is among 21 districts in the state where lockdown has been imposed amid a surge in Corona cases and deaths.

The Korea lockdown was imposed from April 11 and will end on April 19.

Government fair price shops, vegetable vends, fruit shops, grocers, ration shops, flour mills and milk parlors can now open from 6.00 am to 10.00 am, an official communication said.

Post offices and banks will open from 10.00 am to 2.00 pm but only four persons can enter at any given time.

Medical shops and petrol pumps will function with conditional restrictions and only medical emergency movement will be allowed.
