Following the directives of District Collector, the District Road Security Committee has appealed the owners of Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCVs) to park their vehicles at Semra Parking Zone constructed in Transport Nagar. According to sources, the District Road Security Committee has strictly instructed the owners for not parking HCVs anywhere except the Parking Zone at Semra.
According to Traffic Inspector DS Hohlot, a meeting of the District Road Security Committee was conducted in which the Collector instructed the officials to keep an eye on the HCVs including Truck, Tractors and Tipper that ply on Raipur-Jaipur road and to monitor that these vehicles should not be parked anywhere in the city area.
Following the instruction, the Committee has appealed to the HCVs owners to comply with the instruction of the Collector and has warned that action would be taken against the owners whose vehicles would be found parked at other places rather than Semra Parking Zone, he said. Mentioning the guidelines of the Supreme Court, traffic officers have appealed to the passengers to avoid usage of mobile phones while driving as it may lead to accidents. In this regard, traffic officers are conducting a campaign at various squares to check whether people are following the guidelines and traffic rules.
