Parivartan Yatra of Congress has brought doom for the BJP Government. Atrocities perpetrated by this Government on the Tribal folks have been seen throughout the world but this yatra has definitely given them the courage to speak against the Government and extend support to the Congress, said former CM Ajit Jogi while addressing a mammoth gathering at Sukma on arrival of Parivartan Yatra in this extreme southern part of Chhattisgarh on Saturday.
Jogi said during the Congress rule bridges were constructed to facilitate transportation, doctors were appointed in hospitals and teachers were posted in schools but contrary to this Bastar was ruined in BJP regime. People of 900 villages deserted their native place as Government failed to provide security as also number of Tribal population in on the continuous decline during this period.
Congress gave these people right to live while the BJP government indulged in driving them out of their home. CM Raman Singh is running Government for the last 9 years on the basis fake data. Due to BJP Opposition, Sonia Gandhi’s dream scheme to ensure food to all ‘Food Security Bill’ could not be passed in the Parliament, Jogi charged.
Speaking in the meeting senior Congress leader and former Union Minister Vidya Charan Shukla said for the last nine years women, youth as well as chindren are being insulted in Bastar as the State Government was working on the principle of annihilation of Tribal populace.
Centre has given billions of rupees for road construction but the Government misappropriated the fund through contractors and agents, testimony of which is the dilapidated condition of roads. We all together appeal the masses to give mandate to Congress both in Assembly and Parliamentary polls, Shukla said.
Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee President Nand Kumar said that presence of large number of people in Parivartan Yatra showed that people of the state are angry with the BJP Government.
People of Bastar are facing annihilation for giving support to Congress. He also appealed people to give mandate to Congress.
