District Collector Bhim Singh has directed officials to assign the construction work up to Rs12 lakh to the village panchayats instead of handing them over to the Department of Rural Engineering Services.
He also directed that light and fans should be fitted at the Anganwadi centres from the funds approved by the 13th Finance Commission. Expressing his displeasure over the delay in the construction of community buildings and theaters from the MP fund sanctioned in 2011-12 and 2012-13, the Collector warned that stern action would be taken if the works don’t get completed in the next quarter.
He also told the officials of urban and rural bodies not to approve the layout of the construction site without approval of the land map. This may cause trouble in selecting the site they should take the help of the revenue authorities.While reviewing the works of the labour Department, the Collector said Skill Upgradation Training should be provided to more than 1,000 people under CM Skill Upgradation Training Program. Besides, the officials should give wide publicity to the benefits of various schemes so unorganised sector get maximum benefits, he said.
