Minister of Panchayat and Rural Development T.S. Singh Deo has extended greetings of the National Panchayat Day on April 24 to elected representatives of the three-tier Panchayati Raj Institutions. He said that the representatives of Gram Panchayats, Janpad Panchayats and Zilla Panchayats are the important link between people and government's development schemes and welfare programs. As an active unit of local self-governance, Panchayati Raj institutions play an important role in implementing of schemes and development of rural systems.
