In a warning to the village panchayat officers, Gariaband Collector Niranjan Das has asked the Panchayat Secretaries of around five villages to avoid negligence towards work.
The step was part of a meeting called for ensuring institutional delivery and vaccination in the Gariaband district.
He warned the Secretaries of Peepalchedikala and Dantbaikala Village Panchayats with suspension. Meanwhile, the Secretary of Tanwarbahara was warned with denial of a day’s salary.
Das told the officials to provide the salary of the Mitanins to the Mitanan Trainer and forward the same to the Village Panchayat Secretary on compulsory basis. The money will be given through the Panchayat funds.
He issued a show cause notice to a Supervisor of Women and Child Development Department.
Notably, the Mitanins informed Das about the unregistered doctors promoting the concept of home delivery of a baby.
Das asked the Chief Medical cum Health Officer to take action against such doctors.
