Panchayat delegation demands full-time SDM in Simga

The elected representatives of Janpad Panchayat and Nagar Panchayat, Simga, under the leadership of president of three-tier Panchayat Pratinidhi Sangh, Sunil Maheshwari, called on Baloda Bazar Collector B Raju and apprised him of the problems of the city and the rural areas. The members of the delegation comprised Nagar Panchayat president Bhagwat Sonkar, vice-president Avinash Das, Suryakant Tamrakar, Maharan Sonkar, Rahul Sharma and other councilors demanded posting of a full-time Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Simga. 

 The delegation informed the Collector that the sub divisional office was opened in Simga one-and-half years ago, but a full-time SDM has not yet been posted. This has caused problems for the people of the area. The Collector assured the delegation to post a full-time SDM at Simga, as soon as the deputy collectors are appointed. The delegation discussed about the illegal encroachments on the main roads of Simga city and other problems. He assured to look into the problems related to MNREGA, shortage of doctors, construction of bridges, and installation of new transformers etc after reviewing them.
