The Congress party has blamed the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government for falsely claiming that Palnar village in Dantewada district is a ‘cashless village’.
“During the ‘Vikas Khojo Yatra’, the party has found that it was not so and shops nowhere were in the digital payments mode”, it said.
Notably, Youth Congress and National Students Union of India (NSUI) activists were on ‘Vikas Khojo Yatra’ in Bastar region which commenced on May 13. During the Yatra, their convoy also visited Palnar village in Kuankonda block of the insurgency hit Dantewada region.
Youth Congress leader In-charge of the State, Santosh Kolkunda and State President, NSUI, Akash Sharma while talking to media persons here at Congress Bhawan, after returning from Bastar, charged that the ruling BJP government was falsely claiming that the village of ‘Palnar’ in the Dantewada region was cashless.
