The Department of Paediatrics of SAIl’s Bhilai Steel Plant’s JlN Hospital & Research Centre conducted a workshop of Paediatric multi-speciality Continuing Medical Education (CME) at the PG College of Nursing, Bhilai.
The meeting was formally inaugurated by Director, Medical & Health Services, BSP, Dr Sailendra Jain. Dr Ashok Ghorpode, Director M&HS graced the occasion. Dr SM Dewangan, HOD Paediatrics and the convenor welcomed the participant group.
The conference was organised by Joint Director Dr PK Biswal. Dr Malini, Dr A Verma, Dr Pradeep Agarwal, Dr Meera, Dr Pradeep Kar, Dr Thakur, Dr Sambita, Dr Kaushik and others in the organising team. The inauguration programme was conducted by Dr Subodh Saha.
Dr Ganesh Jevalikar MD, DNB, PDCC, paediatric endocrinologist from Medanta Medicity Hospital, Gurgaon talked on type-1 diabetes, DKA, and home monitoring protocols. On the night before, he had talked to the DNB students on bedside clinical case management at Paediatric ward at JlN Hospital.
Dr Vikram Dutta, Prof Neonatology lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi talked on Neonatal care practices. DNB students and faculty members from the Department as well as 50 MSc Nursing students and members from IAP Durg-Bhilai branch participated in the meeting.
