Paddy procurement in Chhattisgarh has crossed the 30 lakh tonne mark. A total of 30.37 lakh tonnes of paddy have been procured till Monday.
The procurement began on November 1 and will continue till January 31, 2023, an official statement said.
A total of 2,568 procurement centers have been set up and Rs 6,365 crore have been released to the 8.20 lakh farmers, it said.
The government has to procure about 110 lakh tonnes of paddy for the kharif marketing year 2022-23.
The rice millers have lifted 17.18 lakh tonnes of paddy for custom milling.
