Chhattisgarh Government has been providing scholarship to students who fall under the Below Poverty line category. A total of 14,529 students are given scholarships by the State Government.
Scholarship till the end of December 2014 has been disbursed to the students of Graduation. The under-graduates get Rs300 per month and post-graduate students Rs500 per month. They were paid stipends for the past ten months.
The Higher Education department has allocated Rs4.50 crore for scholarships in the current fiscal. About 12 thousand 762 students are under-graduates and one thousand 767 students are doing their Post-Graduation courses.
