Opposition disrupts Governor’s address

Published on:

BJP members on Wednesday disrupted the Governor's address to the Chhattisgarh assembly on the inaugural day of the budget session.

Charging the ruling Congress with disrespecting the Governor, BJP members said the ruling party had no trust in the Constitutional head of the state.

BJP leader Brijmohan Agrawal said it was this very government which had moved the judiciary against the Governor.

“When the treasury bench doesn’t trust the Governor, what is the relevance of his address?” he asked.

BJP members created a din and demanded to know if the ruling party trusted the Governor or not.

They also objected to the address in English.

However, despite the interruptions, Governor read out his address.
