The farmers selling paddy at the support price in the procurement centres of the district have been extended the facility of online payment for the produce procured by the State Government.
The Government has set up a total of 130 paddy procurement centres in the district and arrival of around 44,000 quintals of paddy had been recorded in 19 centres so far, an official Press release stated here.
District Collector Thakur Mansingh in a meeting of officials involved with paddy procurement work inquired about sufficient availability of bags for paddy procurement drive.
It was informed in the meeting that the bags have reached the procurement centres and are of a much superior quality compared to the previous year.
