With a spike in Covid-19 cases in Chhattisgarh, online classes should commence mandatorily at the graduation level from November 1, Higher Education Department Secretary Dhananjay Dewangan said on Friday.
A committee has been set up to curtail the courses at graduation level so that timely completion of syllabus takes place.
Dewangan was interacting with the Vice Chancellors of all universities and Principals of colleges virtually.
A discussion was held on admission in colleges, online classes, declaration of examination results and syllabus, said an official communication.
Review of construction works, equipment procurement, pension and compassionate appointments were also undertaken.
Dewangan said Vice Chancellors should ensure the timely release of examination results and ensure quality in education imparted online. He said the last date for admission in colleges is October 22.
No seat in colleges across the state should be kept vacant. The colleges should admit girls on priority.
The Vice Chancellors intimated that all examination results will be declared in October. The evaluation process is underway. They suggested for extension of the admission date from October 22 to October 30 to ensure cent percent admission.
