Investors interested in setting up projects and those already running industrial units in Chhattisgarh will get online application facility for the purpose. The new service will be launched on the occasion of 14th Foundation Day of the State on November 1.
A decision to this effect was taken in the 31st Board meeting of Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board (CECB) held under chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary of Housing and Environment Department N Baijendra Kumar.
Kumar informed the members of the Board that the decision will increase the activities of CECB and save time. The interested industrialists will also need not to frequent the office of CECB for application once the service is started.
They can apply online for setting up industries. From now onwards only online applications will be accepted from the investors, added Kumar.
The CECB has decided to establish more number of ‘Continuous Air Monitoring Stations’ and equip them with lED screens for better resolution so that even the general public may access the information about level of environment pollution.
