The Chhattisgarh government on Monday announced that the examinations of colleges affiliated to the universities in the state will be conducted in online or blended mode.
The offline mode exams for undergraduates and post-graduates and other college students were scheduled to be held between April and June.
The Higher Education Department on Monday issued an order in this regard following the suggestion of the universities as well as the demand of the students, an official statement said.
The order has been issued keeping in view the specific circumstances arising out of the lockdown due to the Covid-19 epidemic from March 2020 in the colleges affiliated to the universities in the state.
The decision has been taken following a letter from the University Grants Commission.
The teaching work in the academic session 2021-22 in the state started with a delay, as a result of which the examinations are also proposed to be delayed, the order said.
In general, it takes 50 to 60 days to hold annual examinations and it is a big challenge for the examination centers to make elaborate arrangements as per the Covid-19 protocol for such a long time.
Therefore, instructions have been given to conduct the examinations for 2021-22 in online or blended mode, it added.
