Youth and women voters once again turned out in large numbers to cast their vote in the three lok Sabha constituencies which went to polls on Thursday.
The largest stream of young voters was seen at the polling booths of Rajnandgaon and Mahasamund lok Sabha consituencies, while women dominated the numbers in Rajnandgaon, as it was visible from the number of women queuing up at the polling booths across assembly segments in the constituencies.
Just before the campaign ended in the three constituencies, the issues which troubled among women voters was development and security while young voters looked more at candidate profiles rather than broad poll issues.
Interestingly, even during the first phase of polls in Bastar lok Sabha constituency on April 10, women dominated the numbers in many polling booths.
