Congress party’s candidate as well as other independent candidates created furore before the Strong Room here where the EVMs had been stored with entry of Tehsildar and some other persons in the room on Tuesday morning.
The leaders of Congress party as well as independent candidates suspecting EVM tampering staged a sit-in outside the Strong Room.
Meanwhile, when contacted the District Electoral Officer, Dhamtari, Dr C.R. Prasanna said that in fact some electricians along with the Tehsildar had entered the Strong Room in order to shift the monitor of CCTV.
Senior Congress leaders led by Chhattisgarh In-charge of All India Congress Committee late evening met the Chief Electoral Officer, Subrat Sahoo at his official residence and had lodged their compliant regarding the matter.
