The NTPC Limited has committed to extend a grant of Rs 100 crore for development of Govt Medical College at Raigarh.
The amount will be utilised for developing infrastructure, equipment and overall upgradation of the medical college.
An MoU in this regard was signed between NTPC and Govt of Chhattisgarh here at Raipur on Wednesday.
Niharika Barik Singh, Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare and Vinod Choudhary, Regional Executive Director, Western Region-II, NTPC Limited signed the agreement in the presence of senior officials of the state government and the NTPC.
According to the MoU, the NTPC will extend Rs 25 crore in first installment during this financial year. The Maharatna Power company has committed to the overall development of Medical College in Raigarh to strengthen healthcare facilities in the district.
