The R&M works of Unit 6 at 2600-MW Korba station of NTPC has been completed recently, a statement of the public sector power utility informed on Friday. “The work which started on 21st March 2015 has been completed much before the schedule. Credit must go to all the employees of the station for this remarkable achievement,’’ observed Prakash Tiwari, GGM, NTPC Korba.
It is to be noted however, here that the station has also completed R&M works of Unit Nos 3 & 4 during 2014-15 Financial Year, thus ensuring quality as well as environment-friendly generation from all the units stationed. The station has achieved a generation of 20060 Million Units during 2014-15 as against an MOU target of 19377 MUs.
The station also achieved a PlF of 88.08 % as against an MOU target of 85.08 % during the period. Availability Factor during the period was 90.90%. The station also bagged the Heat Rate Trophy for new initiatives during this Financial Year (2014-15), besides a number of other awards.
