The National Students Union of India (NSUI) on Wednesday protested against the hike in prices of petroleum products by taking out a "funeral procession" of a motorbike and raising slogans against the Modi government.
Some students also carried empty LPG gas cylinders and held placards to denounce the Central government.
State NSUI President Amit Sharma said there was anger among students against zooming prices of petrol.
The Modi government was solely responsible for the uncontrolled price of petrol, he said, adding this affected the life of students.
