The Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) is offering a plot in Sector-24 for opening an International School in the new capital city, officials here informed.
Notably, the Chhattisgarh Government will also be setting up a Middle School in the new Capital.
The Government has made a provision of Rs 11.38 lakh in the first supplementary estimate of the current financial year for construction of a Middle School building in Sector-27 in the new capital, officials stated.
This apart, on December 3 last year, the State School Education Department also approved construction of a Primary School in Sector 27 of the new capital.
The State Government has provisioned Rs 10.85 lakh in the first supplementary budget for the construction of the school building during the last financial year.
The Government in October last year had also decided to open a pre-Primary School in Sector 27 of the new capital.
A first supplementary grant for the current financial year had made a provision of Rs 10.20 lakh for the purpose, official stated.
The NRDA is also in the process of developing the State-of-art Model High School in the new capital.
The school is being developed in phases. The estimated cost of the Phase-I of the project is Rs 25 crore which may vary, officials stated.
Notably, Naya Raipur is also coming up as a hub for global education as the process for development of Phase-I of the State-of-art campus of Indian Institute of Management (IIM) including its building has commenced.
The Phase-I of the campus is being developed at a cost of Rs 296.45 crore with the completion of the works being estimated within a period of two years, they stated.
Significantly, the Chhattisgarh government had been focussing on providing an elaborate platform for various institutions to establish their state-of-art campus in the new capital.
The State Government has already established the International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) in Naya Raipur.
