Naya Raipur Development Authority (NRDA) was chosen on Friday as the winner of BW BusinessWorld Digital India Summit Awards 2018 under Best ICT (Information Communication Technology) implementation in a Smart City for its Integrated Smart City Project.
The 4th edition of this event was organized at the Shangri la Hotel in New Delhi. The awards are given with the aim of recognizing and encouraging technological initiatives in the country, and Naya Raipur left behind several other Smart City based ICT projects to win this award.
The event witnessed participation of several city leaders, industry experts, policy makers and service providers.
Engineer-in-Chief Salil Srivastava received the award on behalf of NRDA, and gave a presentation on "Government services delivery through eGovernance & mGovernance in urban & rural landscape and the importance of capacity building".
The planning and growth of Naya Raipur stands a significant benchmark in rapidly urbanizing the city.
The solution components include highly efficient land and urban planning, green buildings & walkways, water body conservation, inclusive city development, transit oriented development, GIS mapping of all utilities, implementation of SCADA system, Smart Governance, City Surveillance, Integrated Transport Management System and Integrated Command and Control Centre (CCC).
