Now PAN card at doorstep under CM Mitan Scheme

Published on:

The Chhattisgarh government has extended the services under the Chief Minister Mitan Scheme to have Permanent Account Number (PAN) cards                 delivered to houses.

Sarita Sahu, a housewife from Dhamtari's Risaipara ward, was overjoyed when a Mitan came to her house and completed the process of issuing her PAN card.

An Aadhar card and two passport size photos are accepted as proof of identity for this.

According to her, the scheme is a boon for common people including housewives because citizens receive important services while sitting at home.

She claims that after  contacting the toll free number 14545 to obtain a PAN card, a Mitan reached her residence, gathered the                requisite documents and registered her online to obtain a PAN card.

The PAN card would be delivered at her address after the registration process was completed.  Under the Mitan scheme, 16 types of citizen services are provided by Mitan at home. So far, 2,223 people have benefited through the scheme in Dhamtari Municipal Corporation area.
