A total of three CHOICE centres in the district would start issuing a wide array of necessary certificates and permissions to the general public from December 15 this year.
The various services through CHOICE centres are also currently available in Raipur, Durg-Bhilai, Rajnandgaon, Bilaspur, Jagdalpur/Bastar, Sarguja/Ambikapur, Korba, Kanker, Jashpur, Janjgir-Champa, Dantewada, Mahasamund, Raigarh, Kabirdham, Bijapur, BalodaBazar-Bhatapara, Bemetara, Gariyaband, Kondagaon districts of the State.
The Government is planning a State-wide rollout of the CHOICE centres in due course.
The certificates for income, caste, residence, ration card, permission for water supply connection, birth and death certificates would be issued from the centres.
In this regard, District Collector Yashwant Kumar held a meeting where the decision on issuance of certificates and the permissions through CHOICE centres was taken on Tuesday.
Kumar also directed the officials to make all necessary infrastructure arrangements for smooth running of the CHOICE centers in the district. Moreover, during the coming days, the permission for power connection as well as for construction of buildings would also be offered through the CHOICE centres, an official press release issued here stated.
