Now C’garh to open Eng medium govt colleges

Published on:

To allay fears of parents of students completing Class 12 from English         medium schools, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Thursday vowed to open Swami Atmanand English Medium Colleges to ensure quality higher education in English.

Baghel tweeted: “I have met many parents... Everyone said that excellent English and Hindi medium government schools have been opened by the Congress government. Free education is being          imparted... But the parents were concerned about where their children would study after 12th. Because teaching in metro cities is expensive.”

The Chief Minister           stated that these colleges will be established in a phased manner. In the first phase, about 10 English medium colleges will open in the major cities from the next academic session in June 2023.  A working plan will be put in place within 10 days. The plan is to open one English medium college in all the district headquarters in the next three years.
