The district election officer (Nagarpalika) district Bijapur on Sunday issued notification regarding election of Nagar Panchayat president and corporators, under the Chhattisgarh Nagar Palika Nigam Rule 21.
According to the notification, election would be held for the post of corporator of Ward No 4 of Bhairamgarh Nagar Panchayat, which is reserved for scheduled tribe. Sub divisional officer (revenue) Bhairamgarh Birendra Bahadur Panchbhai will be the returning officer for the election.
Byelection time schedule issued Chhattisgarh State Election Commission on Sunday issued time schedule for the bye election June 2013 for the urban bodies. As per the notification, along with the declaration of the election schedule, the model code of conduct has been come into effect in the constituencies concerned, which would be effective till the date of declaration of the election results.
According to the notification, the deputy district election officer, Rl Devangan has issued directives to the Bhairamgarh tehsildar and chief municipal officer, Nagar Panchayat Bhairamgarh to ensure adherence of the model code of conduct.
Three-level panchayat by-election time-schedule Chhattisgarh State Election Commission on Sunday issued time schedule for the bye election June 2013 for the three-level panchayat by-elections. As per the notification, election would be held for the posts of Bijapur Janpad panchayat member of election area 02, including village panchayat Borje, Dhanora, Itpal and Kantulnar, which are reserved for scheduled tribe. Similarly, election would be held in village panchayat Santashpur, Chinnakavali,Padeda, Mankali, which are reserved for scheduled tribe (women), coming under election area 06
Election will also be held in village panchayat Pamgal, Kotthapalli, Uskaled and Minkapalli reserved for scheduled tribe coming under Bhopalpattanam Janpad Panchayat member election area number 09.
Election for village panchayat sarpanch and panch’s will be held for the posts of sarpanch and panchs in village panchayat Reddi, Itpal, Kandulnar, Kaika, Kadenar, Pusnar, Mankeli and Gangalur and Rudraram, Baeguda under Bhopalpattanam village panchayat, Bangapalli and Pegadapalli under village panchayat Cherpalli and village panchayat

As per the notification, publication of the election notification, submission of nomination papers, information about reservation of seats, list of polling centres would be done on June 3 at 10.30 in the morning. The last date for receiving nomination papers would be June 10 at 3.00 pm. The scrutiny of the nomination papers would be held on June 11 at 10.30 am.
last date for withdrawal of name by the candidates would be on June 13 up to 3 pm. After the withdrawal of names, the list of candidates would be published and their election symbols would be allotted on June 13.
The election, if needed, will be held on June 24, 2013 from 7 am to 5 pm. Counting of votes will be held on June 27 from 9 am and after completion of counting of votes, election results will be declared on the same date.
